Match Day Parking at Anfield Stadium

Off-site matchday parking options

With no onsite parking available, visitors to Anfield Stadium must rely on offsite parking, and with residential parking restrictions in place, nearby options are limited. Anfield Stadium recommends parking in one of the many car parks in the city center and then taking public transportation to the stadium. Alternatively, you could walk, but it will take about 40 minutes. Express shuttle bus services to Anfield Stadium are available from Lime Street Station/St Georges Plateau.

Express Bus Parking Options from Commutation Row, City Centre

On match day, one of the most popular parking options is to park in one of the city center’s many parking lots and then take the 917 stadium express bus. On match day, the bus runs every 10 minutes and costs £2.30 per adult (single) or £4.60 return. Children can ride for £1.20 (single) or £2.30 (return). They have also recently introduced group pricing options, with a return ticket for four people costing £12. You can catch the 917 on Commutation Road (see our map for the exact location) and get to the stadium in about 15 minutes.

Soccerbus Parking Options from Sandhills Station (SDL)

Another option is to find parking near Sandhills Station, which is to the west of Anfield Stadium. The Soccerbus, which only operates on match days, will take you to the stadium in no more than 15 minutes. The Soccerbus runs two hours before each match, with the final bus leaving Sandhills Station about 15 minutes before kickoff. A single ticket costs £1.60 for adults and 80p for children.

While there are not many secure parking lots within a reasonable walking distance, there are some on-street options. Sandhill Station (SDL) is surrounded by commercial and light-industrial areas, and while these aren’t the most picturesque streets, many people park here on match days and walk the short distance to the station to board the Soccerbus.

Car Parks Within Walking Distance

After much research, We determined that these are the closest secure parking lots to Anfield Stadium. Within the same radius of Anfield Stadium, they are fairly comparable in price, with the closest options costing £10 per match day and dropping to as little as £5 per day as you get further away. We also found free parking in Rupert Lane, which is only a 20-minute walk away; however, these spots fill up quickly on match day, so arrive at least 2 hours before kickoff if you want to have a chance at free parking within walking distance.

Parking app options on match-day

Parking near Anfield Stadium can be difficult due to the scarcity of nearby parking lots. However, apps like Justpark and Your Parking Space are extremely useful because residents who live nearby and have extra space, such as a driveway or garage, rent it out for parking on match days. The prices for these parking spots can vary greatly. Some are extremely inexpensive, while others can be quite expensive.

When using these apps, it is best to reserve your parking spot ahead of time, especially if you are near a popular attraction like Anfield Stadium. As more people use these apps to save money, the available spots may quickly fill up. You might find a good deal the day before a match, but it’s best to start looking at least a week or two ahead of time.

As compare to JustPark and Your Parking Space, the two most popular driveway rental options for convenient and affordable parking near Anfield Stadium on match day. We looked at a 4-hour parking window that began 1 hour before kickoff time. We looked for parking with a two-week notice in both cases.

JustPark

With two weeks’ notice, JustPark was able to provide dozens of options within a 20-minute walk of Anfield Station. In fact, of all the searches we’ve conducted, this is by far the most results. While we found at least 7 options for less than £10, the majority of them were priced between £12 and £20, with some advertised at more than £30. While it is possible to park for less, these are excellent options if you do not want to walk far or prefer not to take public transportation.

Your Parking Space

While Your Parking Space provided plenty of options, they were significantly more expensive than those available on JustPark. On average, these spots cost between £20 and £30, which is nearly double what their main competitor charges.
