If you want to see something incredible, go to the Painted Hall, which is known as London’s “Sistine Chapel.” It was part of the Royal Navy College in the 1700s and was recently restored. It’s a fantastic example of Baroque architecture and art, with a massive painting covering the entire ceiling.
If you want to experience true London cuisine, order a plate of ‘pie and mash‘ from the bustling Greenwich Market. There is a wide variety of food from around the world available there, and it is especially lovely at Christmas. If you’re looking for unique gifts, you should go to the Junk Shop near the Underground station. That area of Greenwich is filled with trendy cafes and interesting independent shops, and you’ll undoubtedly meet some interesting people there.
Greenwich Park
If you want some peace and quiet, take a stroll through Greenwich Park. It has a Meridian Monument, which shows the exact location of the longitude (0° 0′ 0′′). It’s a great photo opportunity, and it shows all of the different time zones from around the world.

We’ve found a few great free parking options for you, which will save you a lot of money in London. There is nothing illegal about using these locations, and you will not face any consequences. When using free residential street parking, you must be extra cautious not to block any driveways. Allow plenty of room for other vehicles and keep all noise to a minimum. It’s a fantastic gourmet restaurant bar with fantastic reviews, located on the river’s south bank. Grab one of their incredible burgers and take in the perfect view of London.
